This page is a tribute to the strong, independent "Women of Trek"
As a budding feminist growing up in the 60's and 70's, I had very few strong female TV heroines. I did have Lt. Uhura, thanks to Gene Roddenberry, but she was about the only one. Fortunately for the young and young-at-heart women of today, there are many more wonderful characters, portrayed by talented actresses. This page wishes to spotlight the Women of Trek, as the author feels that the men of Trek have had more than their fair share of exposure! In addition to the actresses I am grateful to the visionaries - the writers, producers, directors and crew - who brought these wonderful characters to life. Thank you!
